We are happy to add the Hutchens (Sam, Juliana and little Emma) to our missions family at the Fremont Baptist Temple. You can learn more about their work on their website .
The Missions program of FBT is designed to partner with like-minded missionaries who travel to various parts of the globe sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ. Our missionaries are predominantly church planters who partner with us to fulfill the Great Commission.
The Hutchens are sent out of Lancaster Baptist Church and partnering with BIMI as their missions board. They will be working to organize a local church in Christchurch, New Zealand with the ultimate goal of training and equipping other pastors to start other churches in New Zealand.
In a blogpost, Sam explains the purpose of their ministry in New Zealand.
Our goals for our ministry in New Zealand are as follows:
- To help to organize via a restart and to pastor the church already there in NZ.
- To evangelize, baptize, and disciple.
- To encourage and edify believers through the preaching and teaching of the Word of God.
- Ultimately, to start other churches from this church that we will be working with. I would love for this church in Christchurch to turn into a “mother” church for dozens of other church plants both in New Zealand and around the world.
Please be sure to pray for the Hutchens family and continue to financially support the missions efforts of the Fremont Baptist Temple through our Faith Promise Missions giving program.
